Hagit Yegoda (53), from Moshav Bat Shlomo, is a cancer patient aged 17, the patient among other things in medical cannabis – one of the first ten patients in the state of Israel who received special permission to treat medical cannabis, which she said saved her life, when the doctors predicted that she had only a few months to live. On October 31, as part of the “Crop Peak” exhibition at the spring of Harod, Hagit was a unique and fascinating conference on the topic: “Agriculture and Parma speak cannabis”
Overlooking the surrounding fields, in a modest and well-designed home, on the outskirts of moshav bat Shlomo, on the way to Zichron Yaacov, I meet with hagit Yegoda, the producer who will instruct the “Agriculture and Parma speaking” conference, at the “Peak crop” exhibition on October 30-31, at the spring of Harod.
Hagit, what is your touch to the subject of medicinal cannabis?
“So first of all – I Am hagit Yededa (53), married to Ron, mother of two sons, Light (25) and Yaniv (14), when first of all, my children are the pride of my life, as one for all my life, the doctors came back and told me that I might not be able to have children, so that they were a great success
“I’ve been diagnosed with cancer since I was 17 and today I am as I am at the age of 53 – I 35 years is recognized in the health system of the State of Israel as a blue cancer (Hodgkin) – This type of cancer is claimed to be cured, though my cancer has returned three times. An important detail, I am one of the first ten people in the state of Israel, who have received the possibility of smoking cannabis as a kind of cancer treatment and its ailments.
Cannabis or medicinal cannabis?
“So that, at the beginning of the road, was not in the land of medical cannabis, and confirmed to the harsh patients like me in cannabis therapy, that no cannabis was raised here.” In fact, it is the exhaustion of cannabis that came to Israel as a pot. In the 60 ‘s, Prof. Meshullam is in fact a single in Israel, the molecule called THC and then began to do experiments in Israel to see how it affects all kinds of illnesses. Later, the molecule was interpreted as an synthetic molecule, and I received it in a vein together with the chemo treatments.
“I developed a type of allergy, and the doctors didn’t understand what kind of allergy chemo? And then in a deep examination, all of them seemed to me to get this synthetic derivative of cannabis, in order to help the nausea and other phenomena, because I was very young – I lost weight very quickly and was in a very difficult position. Then I told the doctors, ‘ leave, I thought you had cleared, should not give me the chemical derivative – I will smoke. And so I became one of ten people across the country who received pot as part of their medical treatment. We didn’t know each other and in fact only in the last decade all of these news began to come out – there was no computer, and everything was recorded in the files.
“Agriculture and medicine begin to integrate.” They understand that everything in the body has a direct connection to what we eat, to the way we live and of course the diseases we develop. So it is very important for me to go into all the people’s lineup and to explain that even if you are trying something new and good for you it’s fine and if it’s not good for you – it’s okay too.
What in the essence of cannabis and later medical cannabis helped you?
“Big, at those years, the pot was cleaner, in a better way than today, and it was very helpful for me to overcome the nausea, I had an appetite, and so I managed to cope with the weight loss issue.” So they also understood how this molecule also helps cure cancer, which means how it causes the cancerous cell to shrink.
“Big, medical cannabis today is my way of life.” In fact, I started my life as the thinking girl you cleaned up, and I had the courage to stay faithful and say that I was, even though 35 years ago to smoke pot and marijuana was unacceptable – it was the province of sailors, prisoners and… I. I was smart enough to understand the benefits it gave me.
And mostly, it gave you the strength to go through the hard treatments?
“It let me go through the hard life that was part of my bloody disease,” it helped me through a lot of things and in retrospect, I understand how powerful and mental a person needs to be hospitalized with 15 other people and go through with them a rocking emotional journey – and unfortunately remain last on the journey – and know that every member I have already known is dead. At first, my mother and I would still go to a lot of funerals, because you know that it’s all about people you slept with in the room, people I had contacts with–it’s your friends. Then you begin to realize that everyone around you is dead and they die at a fast rate. I was then under a therapy experiment, while most patients hospitalized with me did not receive it. No one got it, it was actually something secret.
How did you get this as a treatment?
“I accepted it because I was under an experiment and didn’t know that I was actually under an experiment.” If I hadn’t developed the allergy to the chemical derivative they gave me – to this day I would not have known I had it. They gave it to me without coming and saying: ‘ They gave you a chemical derivative of THC ‘. For example, if I asked for something against nausea, they would give you something to infusion. We’re not doctors and you need to trust them. It is not without notifying you of any paper you approve of nausea, but you are not a scientist and know nothing of what is complicated. Today the medical information is much more accessible, every word of the night can be easily found on the Internet and open to the public.
“Do not forget that we are going to make a conference which is the first of its kind in Israel.” At the beginning of the road, when they tried to get in and look at cannabis as an agricultural industry, they all Nzako and said that it was forbidden to talk about it. All in all, the issue of medical cannabis has received the honor and the Edna only in the last decade, when the dam has been breached and the understanding – there are people in the state of Israel who are receiving cannabis as a complementary treatment for conventional treatments with such illnesses and others – and usually diseases that pain and suffering are greater. The study was based on what Prof. Meshulam discovered, that THC helps and the CBD assists, and gradually began to learn and know all the cannabinoids in the cannabis plant. They began to realize that some scholars and understand more had a lot to learn about. Today, in research and clinical trials, the power of cannabinoids in the healing of human beings in various fields is being tried.
“It let me go through the hard life that was part of my bloody disease,” it helped me through a lot of things and in retrospect, I understand how powerful and mental a person needs to be hospitalized with 15 other people – to go through with them a rocking emotional journey – and unfortunately remain last on the journey and know that every member I have already known is dead.
THC material is the more familiar material but what is the CBD?
“The THC is the material called the Mestal (psychoactive) material, while CBD is the next, least familiar, which is an anti-inflammatory knbinoid and is found to help children epileptic and autistic. The CBD work on our inflammatory system, and it reduces pain that is actually by improving the patient’s daily quality of life. There are many people who also develop allergies and other conventional treatments are no longer working on them – the balls that have been used are no longer helping them and all the time should be looking for new solutions. Besides THC and the CBD are additional cannabinoids with other and different medical influences that are still in the study.
“Therefore, fortunately, in the United States and Canada, that they carry the flag on the subject, begin to see and understand the effects of these materials on the patients.” There is no problem of legalization, in most countries there do not go to prison for a plant and refer more enlightened to the users. It is true that once the use of cannabis is considered a criminal, the day is much less but he still suffers from what is called a “bad publicity” and so it is so important for me to edit all these conventions and explain about the Mazor and the tremendous relief it gives people. You don’t have to search cannabis just what you call “high” in the street’s mockery. “I must point out that my own speed-all conventional balls are all without exception to the exceptions, I do not know a ball against pain or a psychiatric sphere that is not from high, including all the Ophoras and the Prastols.” Therefore, treating cannabis as a negative thing and balls as if they are fine – passé from the world and currently need to focus more on custom medicine for every person.
“Indeed, we do not now force all humanity to use cannabis just because we have discovered that it is good, but let’s come out of the assumption that it will be accessible to anyone.” “As human beings, despite the fact that we are all very similar to each other — we are also very different from each other.” Modern medicine, at least in the previous century, tried to turn us into human beings who are divided into three groups: men, women, and children, that is to make them all a single one and treat them all in the same way, the same medicine, in the same treatment. Today we know it’s not working for them, and the doctors have been able to understand that the donor must change and that’s what happens more or less.
“Today agriculture and medicine are beginning to integrate.” They understand that everything in the body has a direct connection to what we eat, to the way we live and of course the diseases we develop. So it is very important for me to go into all the people’s lineup and to explain that even if you are trying something new and good for you it is fine and if it is not good for you – it is also fine. Once you tried something and didn’t work for you, it immediately brought you under a pattern, and today we try to introduce people to the head that a farmer who is a medical cannabis grower does not contribute to the crime – it saves lives. “That’s why we built this lineup, whose purpose is to explain to people, that even if you try something new and it helps you – it’s okay and if it doesn’t help you it’s okay.” Once, when you were trying something on a patient and it couldn’t help the patient, it immediately brought him under the pattern. Today we begin to explain to people that a farmer who decides to raise medical cannabis or an entrepreneur who is an investor of his money is not contributing to a crime. On the contrary, the tumor or investment goes to a place which is a new technology, applied knowledge that has not yet been developed to agriculture. “

But there are still regulatory issues, the police are resisting.
“It’s not that the police oppose, the police are working by the directives and it has a policy.” For example, Minister Gilad Arden was released in a very large statement on television, whereby it is unacceptable for policemen to enter the home of people and that it violates the policy that was led by the police in the last six months, when Arden was talking about being held accountable. They talked about breaking the police into the house for suspicion of use, the smell of cannabis. This conception should change, because what a person is doing inside his house is not a matter of the policeman passing through his street. It was called a liability, we gave it all sorts of beautiful names, but the government of the time order must change and change, if it’s in medicine, if it’s in our everyday life and if it’s in our leisure.
“What do you mean?” If a person can get drunk to death legally and then beat people because he is drunk and that passes by law – then it’s okay to give people the possibility to smoke in their homes and they’re at least not violent. It is clear that violence is illegal, but it is necessary to find some kind of middle path here. Of course we do not demand that people in the state of Israel run with joints and, but have to be more forgiving and understand the essence, because self-use of medicinal cannabis is the only thing in the world of crimes that does not harm the society, which does not harm property or human beings, and you succeed yourself in smoking. In fact you are perceived and convicted of wanting to do yourself good. Here, in my opinion, was the point of change in perception and vision in the past decade, and what helped it was treated like me who received medical cannabis in a physician’s approval and showed that the treatment had helped them. “Six years ago I weighed about 40 kg, I was very thin, my healthy lump began to run wild,” the doctor said that I had a few months to live — and it was clear that if I continue to live in a garden in the same way of life, to live in Stavros, and I have faced the question: continue to go to a hospital and live life the way I know or do A full-scale change of consciousness. “I have taken responsibility for my illness, out of all the years I have known to this day.” It started from the Hebrew University, opening an extension for pharmacists to medical cannabis studies, and I went to study the subject, because cannabis is going to be prescribed in private pharmacies, so it is necessary to provide a service and therefore I try to initiate conferences or participate in other conferences in order to give the information, also to the service providers and to the patients themselves. It is important for me to explain to everyone — not to be afraid of the changes that occur, not to fear things, even though I have a fear of the future, too. But first I understand that with medical cannabis I am her brother and it does not matter if the doctor or any government will not decide here or here. I’m her brother.
There is a claim that cannabis actually constitutes a trigger to an addiction that is gradually more and more difficult for drugs.
“It has been proven a decade ago that cannabis has never been Getaway drug he has never led to severe drug addiction, vice versa, cannabis is given to people after severe addictions, the cannabis can be treated in a very long way and for people who have been redeemed of gambling and other things.” Beyond this, there is always a certain segment of population that tends to be addicted to everything, but because they exist, they do not throw it on the entire world population, simply learning how to work against all types of populations that are victims of such things and others. Some people worthiness in a few minutes and are going to beat or kill, so we forbid drinking alcohol on the entire population? No and No.

Can you elaborate on the conference to take place in the upcoming “Peak Crop” exhibition?
“In fact, the conference began as a small niche, in which I can tell my life story and the change in me following the use of medicinal cannabis.” And then we sat the organizers and I said, “Wait, why just tell a story?” Let’s build a panel of experts in the field to make it interesting to everyone.
“And then I turned to Dr. Michael Segal, who is actually among the first psychiatrists in the state of Israel that understands the benefits of using medical cannabis for post-traumatic rape victims and victims of sexual assault.” Dr. Segal is also the director of psychiatric departments and sees on the other side how medications affect the treatment of cannabis medical, and it was very important for me to bring him to talk about the fact that we are not going to drug
Or to high the whole country, but we come in a therapeutic approach to those who need it and that there is really nothing to fear. It was important to me that a doctor would crack at the conference.
“We also brought Bruno Ghlev, his master’s degree in agronomy studies, and he understood the agricultural essence of the cannabis plant and how to make it a medical one, i.e., for the use of Parperemia.” How to ensure that the plants be uniform with correct genetics and that the plant will meet the stringent standards that the medicine requires, that is, when a doctor registers a certain dosage he knows for sure that he will receive this dosage, no more and no less, throughout the treatment. And if it changes the dosage it will really change.
“Nimrod Regev, a water engineer, and irrigation,” is the director of the medical cannabis industry at Na’an Dan Jane, and he will discuss the importance of the control system and the correct planning of the irrigation system and its therapeutic cannabis farm.
He will also attend the David Marom conference, A NewCa notebook, which deals with all real estate matters related to agriculture. He would explain how to get the most out of the agricultural area for the growth of cannabis, how to correct the right how much crops will export to marketing, how to work correctly with Handel and not fall into the “hype” of talking in the air – and basically David will give an overview of all the real-estate implications and risks when requesting building permits to farm cannabis and the production chain of Exports of cannabis – all those practical points that are important for farmers, who can also raise practical questions all the same.
“In other areas such as fertilization and other disciplines can torture the agronomist,” from Haifa, who have already entered the picture and learned the whole subject, all the various commandments, the whole theme of plant maintenance, that a smoking plant is very different in growing from all plants for eating, most of which you can rinse them after harvest or picking Transfer them to process, the medical cannabis cannot be washed. It is important to understand the differences in whether it is a plant for smoking or plant for the cosmetic industry, etc.
“In conclusion, we cover this conference a lot of different parameters that interest the farmers, all their interests, and the practical questions that are important to them — and the patients and people who are considering being treated in medical cannabis, that is the general public, open and attentive to important things that are now evolving in the field.”
* Cannabinoids – The active substances in the cannabis plant (today are interrogees about 10 cannabinoids)
“Regulation Branch”

The “Garlev Bruno will speak at the Conference on the Agricultural Aspects of medicinal cannabis growth”
The agronomist Bruno Geslevis an independent consultant to farm cannabis in Israel and abroad, to which we have referred to more questions about the agricultural field of growing medical cannabis. “I’ll start by saying that in large, medical cannabis, like any other agricultural field,” explains Gelev, “is a farmer’s tumor for everything, it is farming and the only issue that distinguishes it from other crops is that medical cannabis is shrouded in lots of regulation, which is dramatically reflected on initial planning. Agricultural planning in cannabis versus other tumors become very, very strict and tight-to-regulation grammar.
Is there an Israeli growth protocol for medicinal cannabis cultivation?
“There are recommendations of all kinds of government officials but in large you can say that every farm grows in its own method and, on the other hand, do the arrangements after harvest, the post harvest according to regulatory requirements and it is quite aligned with all produce. The growth cycle as a rule of thumb is about two months but it is very dependent on ORL. Because the companies in the country are at the end of the day economic companies are of course interested in a short growing cycle as possible.
Going more on the strains already built and genetic engineers for the purpose that want them?
“Not entirely true and even, engineered is a little too strong a word for what is happening with the varieties.” But for medicinal cannabis companies Yes are interested in a growing cycle that is short. There is also the aspect of the plant’s contribution to the patient’s treatment but as a financial company that attempts to survive in the Israeli sphere, they are more interested in the Gospel of profit. “
I understood. Now, there are strains that are ten THC and there are varieties that are 10th CBD, how does it go?
“It is very true and there is a difference in the growth of each Zen and Zan.” When you don’t know the varieties and a new farm enters the tumor then you take some very, very general protocol and then begin calibrating the protocol according to the species. I mean, it’s not really about THC or CBD, that start from some basic starting line to all varieties, and from there you decide it’s a plant with the character of THC or CBD or has the character of a fast-paced or slow-minded… Unequivocal there are growing forms that directly affect the materials the plant produces more or less. At the moment, all the conditions of beauty and abbeauty affect the active ingredients in the growing plant.
“For irrigation, for example, a spear should look at the subject in terms of regulation.” Every farm is analyzed on the water and the materials they contain, what they give to the plant. Most cannabis growers now begin with water that is digested (desalolals), that is to start from water that is in zero, water that has nothing in them, and then add such minerals and others. I think this is a wrong method because that is how you actually lose the things that are already in the water, all kinds of minerals and you add them to new instead of making perfection. “
One of the farmers ‘ problems is the cost of foreign workers. Medicinal cannabis is a non-mechanized industry, right?
“Try to get the machinery in as much as you can, but it’s true that a lot of the steps are definitely at manual work.” You have touched one of the most painful points at all in agriculture and cannabis, in particular, where foreign workers cannot be brought. Foreign workers are not allowed to enter farms, nor to Palestinians, only to Israelis with a certificate of honesty. We’ll be deployed on the subject extensively during the conference.
